ZIG-ZAGGING THROUGH TREETOPS What do you get when you combine a zipline with a rollercoaster? An awesomely terrifying experience! The enterprising people at TreeTop Crazy Rider put together this adrenaline-producing ride, located just north of Sydney. Instead of a normal zipline which is usually just a straight-line run, this one has you zig-zagging and looping through the tree tops. The 1-km run will set you back a hefty AUD45, but judging by the video, we think it’s well worth it!
CHILLING IN STYLE This holiday season, come and stay at the Iglu-Dorf igloo hotels along the Alps and Pyrenees mountains. The village can take up to 38 guests and is made from a total of 3,500 tons of snow; these hotels are functional and act as temporary works of art. Each sleeping quarter comes with “cosy” sleeping bags that are designed to withstand arctic temperatures. There’s even an outdoor Jacuzzi and a bar lounge for guests to sample traditional mulled wine. The only drawback? There’s no running water for guests, so don’t plan to stay long.
GATEWAY TO INDIA In an effort to boost tourism, India has implemented a scheme where more tourists can get their visas-on-arrival to the country. Now tourists from 43 countries will no longer have to apply at the Indian embassy to get their visas. They can now apply for the visas online and collect them once they land in India. Currently this new visa-on-arrival scheme is only available at nine major airports including Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Trivandrum. So what are you waiting for? India awaits!
