Surprise Surprise: Nexus 5, 7 and 10 are now Out Of Stock on Google Play

This shouldn’t really be a surprise to anyone. But the Nexus 5, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 are now showing as out of stock on Google Play. Normally we’d just say they are getting more in soon. But with today supposedly being Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 day, it looks more like we’ll be getting some new hardware in the Play Store. The Nexus 10 has been fluctuating in and out of stock for a few months now. After all, Google has been selling it for almost two years now, as they didn’t release a Nexus 10 last year, for whatever reason. The Nexus 5 and nexus 7 is still on sale at various other outlets, like Amazon and eBay. But if I were you, I’d wait until tomorrow to buy one. As the Nexus 6 should be announced today and the Nexus 5 price will likely drop tomorrow as well.

The Nexus 6 is supposedly going to sport a 5.9-inch QHD display. Along with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor running the show and a massive 3900mAh battery powering the thing. It’s also going to be the first smartphone running on Android L. Which Google showed off Android L at Google I/O earlier this summer. It’s a huge update to Android, which is why the version number is supposedly 5.0. We saw a nice teaser from Google yesterday that they were auditioning deserts for the new version of Android. Although our money is still on Lollipop. We should find out in a few hours though.

So it’s not a surprise that the Nexus 5, 7, and 10 are out of stock. But it might be a surprise that we didn’t see a fire sale for them. Last year we did get a fire sale for the Nexus 4 and it dropped about $100. Which made it an impulse buy. How many of you are excited for the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9?
