Xiaomi’s entry-level Redmi 1S will be discontinued in Malaysia and tomorrow (21st October) marks its final sale. There will be 5,000 units available for tomorrow at RM419.
This is probably a strong indication that Xiaomi is making way for its upcoming Redmi Note 4G that is likely to be heading to Malaysia very soon. The Redmi Note 4G is a single SIM device that’s powered by a Quad-Core 1.6GHz Snapdragon 400 processor with 2GB of RAM, instead of an Octa-Core 1.7GHz MediaTek MTK 6592 processor on the current Dual-SIM 3G version. For those who still prefer to grab the smaller 4.7″ Redmi 1S, your last chance is to buy it from the Mi Online store at 12PM tomorrow.
