Microsoft smartwatch shows up on Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD?
We know Microsoft’s upcoming smartwatch may be coming in just weeks, so the rumors are surely to start spreading. Today we have an image of what could be the device’s first came appearance on TV.
Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD is a TV show known for supporting Microsoft. You often see Windows devices and they even use Bing from time to time. We usually know all the products and services that appear, but this time around an interesting-looking smartwatch showed up.
Previous rumors say the device should be a fitness-focused product that looks more like Samsung’s Gear Fit than traditional smartwatches. Take a look at it and let us know what you think. Is this Microsoft’s smartwatch?
Opinion: I don’t like to get ahead of myself in these matters, but I know how much this show supports Microsoft. This may very well be it, guys.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 NOOK announced
Barnes & Noble is no longer manufacturing tablets, but that doesn’t mean they are out of the game. The book retailer has partnered with Samsung to release NOOK-optimized tablets. The last one was the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 NOOK, and this time around they are announcing the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 NOOK 10.1.
You guessed it, it’s simply a Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 with some software modifications. Specs include a 10.1 1280x800p display, 3MP/1.3MP cameras, 10 hours of battery life, 16 GB of internal storage and more.
At $299, it’s not really a bad deal either. You can go get it from Barnes & Noble’s website now.
Opinion: I just have to wonder if this is working out for Barnes & Noble. Can they compete against Amazon with these NOOK-optimized Samsung tablets?
Microsoft halts Surface Pro 2 online orders
The Surface Pro 3 has hit the streets and at some point it’s time for older iterations to retire. It seems this process has begun as the Surface Pro 2 becomes unavailable from the online Microsoft store.
Going to the Surface.com site will still show the Surface Pro 2 details, but clicking the buy button will take you nowhere. A representative has also confirmed the device is no longer for sale, so this is not a mere technical difficulty.
Opinion: I wish the Surface Pro 2 had stayed around. After all, not everyone likes the larger form factor the Surface Pro 3 has to offer. Such is the tech life, though.
