Google announces Inbox: a new way to email
Google has been gradually changing the Gmail experience over the years, trying to boost the evolution of what could now be considered an outdated experience. That wasn’t enough, though, and their latest attempt has just arrived.
The Search Giant has announced Inbox, an email app/service that is unlike any other we have seen so far. You ca say this is the “smart” version of email. Inbox can bundle similar messages, includes reminders and highlights important emails.
In addition, it can even display important parts of an email, allowing you to get information without even opening the thread. Sounds cool, right? Slow your guns, though – the app is not exactly for everyone just yet. It’s under an invite-only stage.
You can either get an invite from a friend who is already in or you can send an email to inbox@google.com to try and request one.
Opinion: Inbox certainly looks like a much more interactive and full email experience. It also doubles as a calendar and to-do app of sorts. Can’t wait to try it!
Rovio introduces Retry to the Google Play Store
Rovio’s latest game is now out and it is nothing like what the company has introduced before. Instead, it looks much more similar to another game that became amazingly popular recently – Flappy Bird.
Of course, Retry is much more complex and offers a much more visually stunning experience, but ultimately it takes that “super hard game” factor and spins it into this. Want to play it? iOS users have had it for a while, and now it’s time for Android enthusiasts to get some fun.
The game is now available in the Google Play Store for free, so go check it out.
Opinion: Not to be a downer, but it really seems like Rovio is running out of creativity juice here. Their Angry Birds games have been going on forever, and now they are copying styles?
Hearthstone coming to Android tablets by the end of the year
Hearthstone is Blizzard’s new sensation, a more recent game that has been gaining momentum like no other. Now it’s time to make it bigger and the team is ready to go mobile. Blizzard has confirmed they are getting ready to release Hearthstone for Android tablets.
This is to take place before the end of the year. In addition, the company says they are aclose to releasing iPhone and Android smartphone apps. Those should be ready early next year.
Opinion: Hearthstone has its following, but if they can take the mobile industry the game is going to grow by insane proportions. Let’s wait and see how it all unfolds.
