So we were a little late getting invites from Google to try out Inbox. But we’ve got it nonetheless. We’ve been playing with it for the last few hours, and we decided to put together a nice 5 minute hands on video for you, well it’s a little less than 5 minutes, but you get the point. Inbox by Google is a new email option that is said to include more than just Gmail. You should be able to add Yahoo and Hotmail – err Outlook? – emails soon as well, but at this time you can only do Gmail accounts. Inbox makes it easier to hit inbox zero, but keeping all your emails there for you search for and such. One of my favorite things is being able to search “whens my next flight” and it showing a Google Now-like card with a picture of your destination and all your flight info. It’s really nice actually.
Inbox is completely material design as well. Which is definitely nice to see, especially as most of us don’t have Android 5.0 Lollipop just yet. There’s all kinds of great features in here like Snooze, Mark as Done, Reminders and more. It’s definitely a much needed upgrade to Gmail, and one we are loving right now. We’re also digging the Inbox Zero.
Right now, we don’t have any invites, so please don’t ask. If we have any, we’ll be sure to share them with our loyal readers. Word is we’ll be getting some tomorrow, but that’s not confirmed and is subject to change, so don’t count on it. Check out the video down below though.
