Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 Rumored To Sport Dual Boot, Intel SoC

Xiaomi is currently the number one smartphone manufacturer in China. This China-based company has unveiled a lot of smartphones this year, and a number of other smart gadgets as well, but they’re nowhere near done announcing products. The company still has to announce their Mi 5 flagship, and it seems like the second-gen Mi Pad tablet is in the works as well. We’ve already seen a number of Mi Pad 2 leaks, and it’s about time Xiaomi unveils it considering that the first gen Mi Pad was announced back in June last year.

That being said, we’ve seen an alleged real life images of Mi Pad 2 recently, and now we have some new info when it comes to this device. According to a newest rumor from China, Xiaomi’s Mi Pad 2 tablet might end up offering dual boot OS’. The tablet might end up sporting both Android 5.X Lollipop and Windows 10. Now, take this info with a grain of salt, as it’s usually the case with rumors, because this really is kind of far-fetched. Anyhow, the rumor also states that the tablet will be powered by Intel’s processor, and that it will feature a 9.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display. 3 or 4GB of RAM will also be a part of this package, and the tablet will use metal in its design, we might even get an all-metal product here. In addition, the source also mentions that a 13-megapixel camera will also be included in this package, while there’s no mention of the front-facing shooter just yet (but it will surely be included).

The recently-leaked Mi Pad 2 images actually remind us of the Nexus 10 which launched back in 2012, which doesn’t have to be a bad thing. Based on a number of Mi Pad 2 rumors, it is to be expected that Xiaomi introduces this thing before the end of the year, but we still don’t know when might that happen. This tablet might not sport dual boot as the rumor suggests, but it sure seems like it’s going to be a decent offering by Xiaomi. Either way, we’ll keep you in the loop, stay tuned.
