The Moto G 2nd Gen. LTE Brings Larger Battery And 16GB Of Storage According To Brazilian Motorola Site

Motorola-AH-205

The 2nd generation Moto G from Motorola is a nice upgrade from the 2013 model, but some were probably hoping to immediately have their hands on an LTE variant of the device, alas, Motorola only launched the 3G version of the Moto G 2nd gen at release, and those who were eager to pick up the LTE model were left waiting and wanting. Thankfully we knew that the LTE model would be a reality it just wasn’t made available yet. That could all be changing soon as a listing for the LTE Moto G has appeared on the Brazilian Motorola website with details on the specifications of what to expect when the device drops.

It’s worth noting though that we have no way of knowing whether or not Motorola will keep these specifications uniform for the device across other regions where it plans to launch the phone, and we still don’t know whether or not Motorola has plans for the U.S. as being one of those regions, if they even plan on launching it outside of Brazil. With the listing showing up though we can at least hopefully expect to see it in the next couple of months whether it’s a Brazil only phone or not. Is that being too hopeful? Perhaps we’ll see Motorola show it off at CES next week. If you’re wondering about the specs, some of them are of course largely the same as the 3G model, like the 5-inch 720p HD display (that doesn’t seem to be changing) but it does come with a bigger battery, as the LTE model is listed as having a battery with 2,390mAh capacity.

The only other thing that’s different it seems from the regular 3G model we have available here is the internal storage space, packing 16GB instead of just 8GB. Everything else appears to be the same so that means users would be getting the same 1GB of RAM, the same 8MP camera on the back and 2MP camera on the front, as well as the two front facing speakers and the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor. If and when this gets a U.S. based launch, would you consider this device from Motorola as your next phone?
