Microsoft has launched a very interesting Android Wear keyboard, which is not quite as weird as Xiaomi launching a router. Meanwhile, Kmart is having a bad week.
Microsoft launches Android Wear keyboard
Microsoft may be one of Google’s main competitors, but they are not shy about supporting Android Wear. They have recently released a OneNote app for the smartwatch platform, and today they are bringing something quite unique to the wearable OS.
Microsoft is calling it an “analog keyboard”. In a nutshell, it allows you to input text by drawing letters in the screen. Interested? You can go download it from Microsoft’s website right now.
Opinion: This seems like a convenient way to input text in such a small display. Traditional keyboards simply don’t fit, and other solutions are not optimal.
Xiaomi Mi Router passes Malaysian certification
Can Xiaomi sell a router as fast as it sells its smartphones? We are about to find out. The Xiaomi Mi Router has just passed Malaysian SIRIM certification, meaning the device should be available in the mentioned country relatively soon.
For those who don’t know about this router, it is no simple WiFi device. This router comes with a 1 TB hard drive, which can be replaced with any 2.5-inch hard drive. It serves as a wireless storage device. Pretty cool, right?
Opinion: The price point is estimated to be at 699 Yuan in China (about $114 USD). That makes it a pretty convenient and cool gadget to own. I can say I would purchase one if it was available in my country.
Kmart hacked!
It seems hacking chain retailers has become an annoying trend as of late. Target and Home Depot are the first victims that come to mind, and now you can add Kmart to that dreaded list.
While details are not being fully disclosed, we know their payment systems were compromised from throughout September and early October. Did you shop at Kmart during those times? It’s time to call your bank!
Opinion: I suppose I will start using cash more often. These hacks are creating too many inconveniences.
