ZAGG makes cases for, what seems like just about everything, and that includes the Nintendo Switch with this new Kita Grip 360 case. ZAGG is making the case for both the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch Lite.
This case won’t work with the recently announced Nintendo Switch OLED though. As that console is slightly larger than the original. According to Nintendo’s dimensions, the regular Switch is 102 x 239 x 13.9mm. This is with the Joy Cons attached. The Nintendo Switch OLED however, is 102 x 242 x 13.9mm with the Joy Cons attached. So unfortunately, this case doesn’t work if you plan on getting that newer Switch model.
All that aside, regular Switch owners and Switch Lite owners will love this thing. As it provides a little bit of protection on the edges and back, and it comes with grip handles that allow you a better hold on the portable console. Hence the name Kita Grip 360 (or Kita Grip 360 Lite for the Switch Lite version).
The Nintendo Switch Kita Grip 360 case comes with a free screen protector
While the case itself doesn’t protect the display of the Switch, you do get a free screen protector in the package. ZAGG says that will help keep the screen protected from scuffs and scratches, like what you might get from docking the Switch over an over.
The case is also rated to protect the console itself from dings. So long as those drops are limited to more than 10 feet. But, the case being drop tested with the console inside of it doesn’t guarantee that yours would survive the same type of fall. However some protection is better than no protection. Especially since this is designed to help give you a better grip. Which is likely to prevent the drops in the first place.
The case retails for $40 and is available now
If protecting your prized Switch console sounds like a good idea to you, and it should, then you can pick this up directly from ZAGG for $40. Both models cost the same price, and both come with the screen protector.
These will likely appear through retail partners at some point too. But right now it looks like ZAGG may be the only place to buy these. If you want to pick some up for yourself, you can get them by clicking the buttons below.
