Rejoice, OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro owners. Because OnePlus is now rolling out a new OxygenOS update for the duo via OTA. Interestingly, along with the latest June 2021 security patch, the update also brings much more to the table.

Notably, as per a report by 9To5Google, the update brings several camera fixes which users were complaining about for a long time.

The update is noticeably lightweight, but we would advise you to grab this update via a stable Wi-Fi or mobile data connection. Moreover, it is also recommended to upgrade your phone with the latest available security patch, which in our case is the June 2021 patch.

Taking a look at the changelog reveals it optimizes the mobile performance, apart from bumping the security patch level to June 2021.

As far as the camera fix is concerned, it fixes the issue where the shooting button fails to take pictures in 48MP format. This issue was long overdue and is nice to see the latest update fixing it.

The update is live for all the variants, i.e. the Indian (IN), European (EU), and the global variants of the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro devices.

OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro update arrives as OxygenOS version 11.0.7.7

Recently, OnePlus pushed a new update for its 2021-flagship, the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro. It notably brought in an HDR video recording feature along with some bug fixes.

Now, the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro is also getting some treatment for the camera department. The latest update for the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro arrives with OxygenOS version 11.0.7.7.

It is nice to see OnePlus releasing the latest security patch for its devices. Because the update is made available by OnePlus, the very next day after Google dropped the bulletin for June 2021 security patch.

The latest update for the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro was first spotted seeding to the devices in India. As always, the update is being pushed via OTA in batches. It will take some time before it becomes available for every device.

If you cannot wait, you can manually check for the update. Simply, go to Settings > System > System Updates. If the updater detects a new update in your region, then you can hit the Download button to begin the download.

Moreover, you can also use the Oxygen Updater. It grabs the download package links straight from official OnePlus servers. Once the update package is downloaded, place it on the internal storage of your phone.

Then go to Settings > System > System Updates and hit the gear icon and select Local Upgrade.
