Leaked Galaxy M32 Specs Suggest A Minor Revision Of The Galaxy A32

Following the launch of the Galaxy A32 in February, Samsung is now preparing to launch an identical phone in the Galaxy M series. And you guessed it right, the phone is named Galaxy M32. A leak back in April had shed some light on its specs, that match to a great extent with those of the Galaxy A32, of course. Now, another major leak has revealed it all, and it tells the same story.

According to tipster Ishan Agarwal, the Galaxy M32 will feature a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution and a U-shaped notch at the center. Under the hood is the MediaTek Helio G85 processor with a Mali-G52 GPU. Samsung will reportedly offer the phone in two memory configurations: 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB. There is also a microSD card slot that will support cards of up to 1TB storage capacity.

For imaging, the Galaxy M32 will boast four cameras at the back and one at the front. The four rear cameras include a 48-megapixel primary shooter (F1.8), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera (F2.2), a 5-megapixel macro camera (F2.2), and a 5-megapixel depth sensor (F2.4). There’s a 20-megapixel sensor (F2.2) at the front for selfies and video calls.

Dimension-wise, the phone will measure around 160 x 74 x 9mm. It will weigh approximately 196 grams. The Galaxy M32 will run Android 11 out of the box, with Samsung’s One UI 3.x on top. It will be available in Black and Blue color options.

Is it a rebadged Galaxy A32?

Now, if you go and check the Galaxy A32 specifications, you’ll hardly notice any difference. So is the Galaxy M32 a rebadged version of this phone? Well, the answer is no. There are a few differences between the two phones.

Firstly, it appears the upcoming Galaxy M series phone will get a 6,000mAh battery, which is significantly larger than the 5,000mAh module found inside the Galaxy A32. Both devices get 15W fast wired charging though. Moreover, the Galaxy M32 also lacks an under-display optical fingerprint sensor. Samsung has opted for a capacitive sensor that’s embedded into the power button on the right side.

Renders of the Galaxy M32 are already listed on the Samsung Mobile Press website and they reveal a redesigned rear camera array as well. While the Galaxy A32 has one of the best-looking rear camera setups on current mid-range smartphones, with each sensor and the LED flash getting their own cutouts on the back panel, the Galaxy M32 features a less stylish square-shaped camera bump in the top-left corner.

When will Samsung announce the Galaxy M32?

As mentioned earlier, the Galaxy M32 has been doing rounds on the internet since at least April. The handset has also already picked up several necessary certifications including the FCC in the US, BIS in India, Bluetooth SIG, and the Wi-Fi Alliance certification.

Moreover, Samsung India has already published support pages for the device on its official website. All this suggests that the Galaxy M32 could break cover anytime now. As Samsung tends to do with most of its Galaxy M series devices, the Galaxy M32 will also likely launch in Asian markets first, most probably in India.

As for pricing, there’s no word yet. The Galaxy A32 launched with a price tag of ₹21,999 (around $300) for the 6GB+128GB variant in India. Expect the Galaxy M32 to cost a little lesser than that. We will let you know when Samsung officially unveils the new phone.
