Viber Wink Is Viber’s New App & A Rival To SnapChat

There are a number of messaging services available out there for Android platform, and Viber is one of the most popular ones. This app has been around for quite some time now, and the company is constantly trying to improve it. Viber is facing tough competition from Whatsapp, (Facebook) Messenger, Hangouts… and a number of other similar apps, but it still remains quite popular in a number of regions out there. That being said, the company has actually released another app, and it’s supposed to rival SnapChat, read on.

The app in question is called ‘Viber Wink’, and it’s already available for download from the Google Play. This app, much like other similar apps, let you take pictures and short videos up to 10 seconds, and then you can share them with another person for a couple of seconds. Now, you do have some options here, you can allow someone to see your picture / video for the amount of 1, 3, 7 or 10 seconds, it’s completely up to you. After the time is up, the content will disappear completely. There is, however, an option for you to send your content with no expiry time, but as you probably know already, this is already a feature regular Viber app has. The Viber Wink app is basically an extension to Viber, you’ll be able to send the content to your Viber friends.

Those of you who are familiar with the design of Viber, you’ll be right at home here. The design is very much reminiscent of the regular app, and the developer also used the same colors here (purple + white). Oh, and one more thing, you’ll need Viber 5.7+ in order to get this thing to work. The application is, fo course, free to download in the Google Play, and it’s also available for iOS, in case you were wondering.
