Motorola is on a roll lately. The company has announced three new devices back in July, and Moto 360 (2nd-gen) leaks just keep on coming. We’ve seen quite a few Moto 360 leaks thus far, in two sizes, and even the Moto 360 Sport leaked yesterday. That being said, Lenovo has even confirmed that the Moto 360 smartwatch will launch on September 8th, though the Moto 360 Sport might arrive later this year (November), at least according to a recent rumor.
Anyhow, a new leak surfaced regarding the Moto 360 Sport smartwatch, courtesy of @upleaks. According to the leaker, the Moto 360 Sport will sport a ”Hybrid Display optimized for outdoor use, 3ATM Water Resistance, GPS, Barometer.” So, the Moto 360 Sport will reportedly offer some serious water resistance features, which is logical considering it’s meant for outdoor use. The display of the Moto 360 Sport will reportedly also be optimized for outdoor use, though we still don’t know what exactly ‘Hybrid Display’ means. Either way, you can expect this display to be quite visible in direct sunlight, otherwise the ‘Sport’ naming really doesn’t make any sense. GPS and Barometer are expected to be included here, so nothing new here.
The leaker has also shared another image of the Moto 360 Sport smartwatch, as you can see in the image above. If you’re interested in seeing additional Moto 360 Sport images, check out yesterday’s leak, considering a number of Moto 360 Sport images surfaced along with quite a few Moto 360 models. The two devices seem to be quite different as far as the general build goes, but that was to be expected, their usage scenarios are completely different. The leaker did not mention anything about other Moto 360 Sport specs, we still don’t know how bit will its display be, what SoC will power it, nor how many RAM / internal storage will be included here, The battery details are also not available at the moment, but Motorola will hopefully learn from the mistakes they’ve done in the past, and actually include a newer processor in their smartwatch this time around (this actually goes for both Moto 360 and Moto 360 Sport). There you have it, stay tuned for more info.
