Is Sony using two different screens for the Xperia C5 Ultra?

Users in Hong Kong are reporting that Sony Mobile may be using two different displays in the Xperia C5 Ultra. There appears to be tangible differences to the displays used in the white Xperia C5 Ultra’s versus the black models.

By entering the service menu of the phones (*#*#7378423#*#*), it shows there are two different hardware types being used. The good one on the black models show “Truly” in the ‘LCM Hardware’ line, whilst the white model has “Innolux” which is believed to be the worse model.

The pictures below show some comparison images between both versions, which corroborate what users are reporting. Obviously this is not definitive and it may only affect a small sample, but we’ll keep an eye on this as the phone sees a wider release.
