A Never Before Seen Film, Selfie Summer School and diagnosing visual impairments in remote locations…

Action Cam released a new Never Before Seen Film this week featuring dancer, Mela Sierra. The video makes it possible for viewers to feel like they’re moving and flowing with the performer. Action Cams were attached to Mela’s head, waist and abdomen and also to violinist Damien Escobar. When his music was combined with Mela’s fluid movements, a beautiful must see contrast was created which painted a whole new side of traditional hip hop.

It’s great news for all our selfie lovers, as a brand new competition launched on the Sony Facebook page. Users can visit the Selfie Summer School to learn all the best selfie tips, before putting their new found knowledge to the test. If you’ve listened hard enough, you could be in with the chance of winning yourself a free Xperia C4. To enter, all you have to do is answer an Xperia related question. It’s as easy as that!Soundbar

Movie nights got louder this week as the brand new Sound Bar was introduced offering an authentic home cinema experience for true movie lovers. The compact Sound Bar also lets listeners stream music from their mobile with Google Cast™ and Spotify Connect™ and enjoy wireless music all over their houses with SongPal Link™. The Sound Bar is available to order now.

In case you missed it, this week we shared exciting news about the Peek Vision app. Massive leaps were made in technology, as Peek Vision trialled its eye examination app in Kenyan schools. Usually, heavy and bulky equipment is required for eye examinations, but by using the Peek Vision eye examination app, adapter and XperiaTM smartphones, this can be replaced.

For the first time, those living in remote places are able to get help, which will change lives considering 80% of blindness is avoidable if diagnosed and treated early on. The importance of Peek Vision’s work was confirmed as 900 kids across 50 local schools were found with visual impairments. These breakthroughs were huge steps in helping school’s get appropriate treatment for the children.

And that’s us for this week, have a great weekend!
