The coffee connoisseur siblings have done it again! Despite the success of Coffee Societe and Garage 51, this is no time for them to rest on their laurels. Underground Societe, a brand new cafe establishment located in the heart of Bandar Sunway is Kar Wai and Kar Heng’s latest venture.
Mochatella- RM16.90
I love its chic windy decor that exudes warmth and cosinesss with a dash of style. Even the drinks menu is fun and innovative driven. My mochatella is combining the best of both coffee cubes and nutella worlds, blended well by a glass jar of warm milk.
Hot Chocolate- RM12
Hot chocolate is pretty much a DIY affair here. Patrons can even try their hands on creating some foam art.
Eggs Atlantic with Avodaise- RM18
Together with the #dayredinks (dual income no kids) Careen (sorry, you will be kick out very soon hehe) and Bobostephanie; we sampled a great variety of brunch dishes from US’s new menu. The egg atlantic with avodaise, smoked salmon scramble on sourdough and underground muesli looked really bright and cheerful with those garnishings of edible flowers.

Scrambled Egg/Fried Egg with Minute Steak, Casserole of Mushroom and Thin Sliced Onion Ring on Underground Bun- 26
Most of us loved this wholesome dish of egg, minute steak, mushroom and onion ring - , a good combo with contrasting textures and flavors.
Grilled Slipper Lobster Benedict with Roasted Pumpkin, Poached Eggs and Foyot Sauce on Underground Bun- RM32
What could be more lavish than lobster for breakfast? However, the dish is sensibly priced for such a huge serving.
Cajun Chicken with Pesto Gnocchi, Sautéed Capsicum and Robert Sauce- RM23
The Cajun style grilled chicken came out juicy, soft and full of flavour. My only gripe was the gnocchi – it was too sticky for my likings.
200g Grilled Atlantic Salmon with Pesto Gnocchi, Sautéed Capsicum and Foyot Sauce- RM36
What about some omega-3 for our pregnant mama Careen? Good flaky salmon that’s done right with beautiful presentation.
French Toast with Nutella- RM15
Desserts in US looked almost too beautiful to eat! The alcoholic in me loved the two alcohol infused desserts – Underground Grenade and Underground Fireball. What a perfect sweet ending to our brunch session!

It was great to catch up with Careen. Despite having our husbands around, we managed to squeeze in some girls’ talk, especially on pregnancy. Do drop by to try US’s new menu, we were quite surprised by its reasonable pricing – the perks of eating out in a student area?
