Since we’re all about being awesome and standing out in the crowd, we got an equally awesome “Special Edition” Lumia 830; because lets face it, the words “special edition” make anyone feel special. Here’s our unboxing video, and you can head over to GeekOnGadgets for more pictures of the beautiful Lumia 830 in gold and white:

For starters the Lumia 830 in gold is an extremely beautiful and eye catching device, I certainly think it looks nicer than the 930; just given that the 830 is much slimmer and has an overall nicer shape to it. Having never used an 830 before, I didn’t know what to expect, but the Spandragon 400 processor and 1 GB of ram had me worried for a while, especially as I was planning on using this is as my main device.
Thankfully my worries were baseless, as after some initial slowness and lag while the phone was restoring (downloading about 400 apps and fetching all my personal data), I was welcomed back to the usual Windows Phone zippines and speed.
One of my favorite features is how the gold Lumia 830 looks with Glance screen on the 830 (another huge plus for the phone vs. the 930).

It just makes everything look like beauty competition.
So far a couple days into my life with a gold phone I really love it, the color is awesome, the weight and slimness is nice, and it just feels right, and I like it.
