PS4 breaks more records, SmartWatch 3 ramps up the style & Sony’s 4K HandyCam goes up the aisle

This week our friends over at PlayStation have passed yet another milestone, taking their total sales of their PlayStation 4 console to new heights. Sony’s latest financial report for the year ending March 31, 2015 has revealed that PS4 consoles sales now total over 22.3 million worldwide.

To put that into perspective, that equates to about 44,600 consoles sold on average every day – or one sold every two seconds!

Back to Sony Mobile now, we have news for all fashion conscious smartwear fans this week in the form of our latest social competition, #mySmartWatch3.

From style to ceremony now as Sony’s 4K HandyCam is offering couples the chance to relive their special day with a new competition. With the Spring wedding season officially underway, Sony are celebrating by offering a lucky couple the chance to recreate their big moment at a beautiful location in Central London on May 15^th.

The occasion will be captured using Sony’s latest 4k HandyCam by a wedding videographer, allowing you to future-proof your wedding and relive the memories again and again in rich 4K resolution.

The day includes hair and make up done on arrival, followed by renewing vows and delicious bubbles and canapés – and you can even bring two special guests with you to share the day too.

Not one to be left out in the weekly news stakes, Sony Entertainment Pictures also had something to shout about… it’s latest development of not one, but two Jump Street films: a female-driven spin-off, and a Men in Black crossover.

The news follows that of the female-fronted Ghostbusters remake, expected to hit the screen in 2016. And with 21 and 22 Jump Street producer Neal Moritz and directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller set to steer the direction of the latest additions it’s something you certainly don’t want to miss.

As you all know it’s been an amazing week for photography. Last Thursday marked the 2015 Sony World Photography Awards Gala, where we joined forces with a host of the world’s best amateur and professional photographers and the opening of the award’s exhibition at Somerset House in London.
