Oppo R7C And R7T Show Up At TENAA, Confirm Dual SIM Setup And 4G LTE Support

Oppo R7 different leak_1

Next to the Nubia Z9, the Oppo R7 is one of the most talked about handsets in the last couple of months. The company has already confirmed that Oppo R7 will launch next month (May), but we still don’t know the exact date of its launch. We’ve seen a ton of images of this device, some sporting the physical home button, some not. According to what the company said, this handset will sport a physical home button, at least in one of its variants. Speaking of variants, two Oppo R7 models paid a visit to TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC), read on.

Oppo R7C and Oppo R7T showed up on TENAA and received network certifications. The listed bands reveal more details regarding these versions, the Oppo R7C is the China Mobile edition, while the latter will be sold by China Telecom. The Oppo R7C will support TD-LTE / TD-SCDMA / GSM networks and the Oppo R7T will ship with support for TD-LTE / LTE FDD / CDMA2000 / CDMA 1X / GSM networks. Both of these handsets will offer dual SIM connectivity, but that was to be expected. These two devices will quite probably offer the same specifications and design.

Speaking of specs, we don’t exactly know much at this point. Some rumors were mentioning that this handset will be powered by MediaTek’s Helio X10 (MT6795) 64-bit octa-core processor and that it will feature a 20.7-megapixel camera (Sony’s sensor) on the back. Some leaks even mentioned the 4.7-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display, but that just seems unrealistic, it will almost certainly sport a bigger display. In terms of the design, the Oppo R7 will be extremely thin, much like its predecessor, the Oppo R5 which was the thinnest smartphone in the world when it launched. Oppo R7 will also offer premium build quality, metal + glass, and VOOC Fast Charge will also be a part of the package.

Another thing that is worth mentioning is that this handset isn’t really bezel-less as previous leaks have been saying, Oppo is using a rather neat trick in order to make us think it is though. This device will sport very thin bezels on the sides, but thanks to the curved 2.5D glass on the top of the device and light reflection trick, it will look like there are no bezels on the sides. Anyhow, the device is set to launch next month, we’ll report back as soon as we get more info.
