Motorola Keylink Back in Stock on Motorola.com after 3 Months

keylink-launch

Motorola announced the Keylink a few months ago. It was available, and then gone within a few weeks. Motorola stated it’d be back in stock within a few weeks, but that didn’t happen. It took nearly 3 months for it to be back in stock again. But finally it’s back. So if you’ve been hoping to get your hands on one of the Keylinks, head on over to Motorola’s site now and grab one yourself. As we don’t know how long they’ll be available for. Hopefully they won’t be disappearing anytime soon.

The Keylink is actually a pretty cool accessory. It’ll connect to your phone via Bluetooth, and help you find your smartphone from the Keylink, or help you find your keys from your smartphone. It’s pretty similar to what their power pack can do. Except it can’t charge your smartphone. Probably the only downside to the Keylink. It does cost $25 however. Additionally if your keys are lost and not in range of Bluetooth, the app (available on the Play Store) will show you the last known location for your keys. Which can be pretty helpful. Motorola says that the battery can last about a year, but it appears that’s not the case. However, a quick charge is easy to do. Especially since it has a small battery, so it won’t take long at all to charge up.

Motorola has been making some pretty interesting accessories in the past year. The Moto Hint, Power Pack Micro and Motorola Keylink, are all pretty interesting accessories that many people love. The Power Pack Micro has saved me many times from losing my keys, as well as saving me with charging up my smartphone when traveling and needing a little bit of extra juice to get through the day. If you’re one that loses your keys often, then the Motorola Keylink is probably a good $25 investment. While it’s probably the biggest keychain you’ll find on your keychain, it’s probably worth it.

Will be interesting to see what Motorola announces this year with the Moto X and Moto G. We always seem to get some pretty interesting accessories.
