The Ikawa reduces the coffee roaster down to a tiny little kitchen appliance that you simply add green coffee beans to, and use a pre-determined recipe to roast the beans to perfection. Whether you want espresso or a light roast, you just press the button on your companion app and the Ikawa roasts it up.
But, of course, it doesn’t stop there. If you’ve got your own personal roast recipe, or just want to mess around with roasting beans to different settings and styles, you can just fiddle around with the roasting settings to get whatever you want out of the bean. Now, not everyone will want to go to the time, expense, and aggravation of roasting their own beans. And you’ll need to have more than just this admittedly svelte roaster on hand; this doesn’t grind the beans for you, so you’ll need to grind them down accordingly before adding the water.
