The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas was full of interesting tech, and many smartphone manufacturers decided to showcase their offerings during the show back in January. Asus was one of the most interesting OEMs, this company has announced their range of ZenFone 2 handsets, and the most powerful of them sports 4GB of RAM. That was actually the first smartphone sporting 4GB of RAM to hit the market. Anyhow, the ZenFone 2 is available for purchase in parts of Asia at the moment though you can purchase it via retailers and get it shipped your way in no time.
Asus has launched their ZenFone 2 line of devices in India earlier this month, both ZE550ML and ZE551ML variants of the device. That being said, the company has offered the 32 and 64GB variants of the ZE551ML model, but did not mention the 128GB variant. Well, that handset is now listed on Flipkart and is priced at Rs. 29.999 ($472). The phone is currently listed as ‘coming soon’, so it’s not available for purchase just yet. The 32 and 64GB variants of the device are priced at Rs. 19,999 ($314) and 22,999 ($362), so the 128GB will be somewhat more expensive.
The 128GB variant of ZenFone 2 ZE551ML features 4GB of RAM and a 5.5-inch 108op (1920 x 1080) display. This handset is powered by Intel’s Atom Z3580 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz and it will also offer microSD expansion on top of 128GB of internal storage, you’ll be able to add an additional 64GB of storage via microSD card. The 128GB of ZenFone 2 also features a 13-megapixel camera on the back and a dual LED flash above it, while there’s a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper included as well. This is a dual-SIM handset which offers 4G LTE support as well. Android 5.0 Lollipop comes pre-installed on the ZenFone 2 with Asus’ ZenUI on top of Google’s operating system. The 3,000mah non-removable battery is also a part of this package and the device itself measures 152.5 x 77.2 x 10.9mm. The phone also offers fast charging technology and it seems like it will be available in Glacier Gray color only. There you have it, the 128GB variant of Asus’ flagship will be available for purchase via Flipkart soon, stay tuned.
