Samsung Showed Off The Galaxy S6 To Random People And Filmed Their Reactions

Samsung’s new Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge flagships have been all over the media ever since the company announced them at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona last month. These are the first Samsung-branded devices to sport a unibody metal design, and are a significant step up compared to the company’s flagship from last year, the Galaxy S5. The Galaxy S6 Edge sports a somewhat odd and yet intriguing look, it has curved display on both its left and right side, while the Galaxy S6 is rather regular in its general shape. Both of these devices sport almost identical internals though, except for a slightly bigger battery unit in the Galaxy S6 Edge.

This Korea-based smartphone OEM is one of the biggest marketing machines in the world. All sorts of promo materials are already in place, and Samsung will be increasing that considering we’re officially in the Galaxy S6 (Edge) launch month. To start things off, Samsung has (via Samsung Tomorrow) released a short clip showing off reactions of people who are seeing the Galaxy S6 for the first time. This video has been filmed on the streets of Seoul by stopping random people and showing the Galaxy S6 to them. Reactions vary from “wow” and “awesome” to “very nice” and some talk about the design of the phone. The video is rather short, and if you’d like to take a look at it, feel free to do so, it’s embedded down below.

The new Galaxy S6 handsets feature a 5.1-inch QuadHD (2560 x 1440) Super AMOLED display along with 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 32, 64 or 128GB of internal storage. Samsung’s very own Exynos 7420 64-bit octa-core processor is powering the company’s new handsets, and you can find a 2,550mAh and 2,600mAh battery inside the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, respectively. 16-megapixel OIS camera is located on the back of these devices, and a 5-megapixel snapper is available up front for you selfies, video calls and what not. Android 5.0.2 comes pre-installed on these devices with Samsung’s proprietary TouchWiz UI on top of Google’s OS.
