Huawei has released quite a few devices last year, and some of them were really compelling. This China-based company has upped their game last year, they started including premium materials in the manufacturing process, which resulted in a really sleek and modern looking Mate 7 phablet. The company has also released the P7 and Honor 6 Plus handsets last year, which were well-received as well. The company has also managed to increase their profits significantly last year, and it’s up to them to continue doing so this year.
This Chinese smartphone OEM will release their new flagship, the Huawei P8, in two weeks in London. We’ve already seen all sorts of leaks regarding the P8, but we’re not here to talk about that device. We’re here to cover the latest leaked images and other info regarding the Huawei Honor Cherry smartphone. Unlike the P8, this will be a mid-range offering by Huawei it seems. We’re still not sure the device will be called that though, “Cherry” might be its pre-release codename. Anyhow, this device will allegedly hit the Russian market first and will most probably cost between RUB 13,000 ($228) and RUB 15,000 ($264). Other countries will follow soon after the initial launch in Russia.
The source says that the device will be powered by the company’s very own HiSilicon Kirin 620 processor built on a 28nm manufacturing process. This is an octa-core processor which ships with Mali-450MP4 GPU for graphics. The device will reportedly offer 4G LTE connectivity as well. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll be able to see some images of the upcoming Honor Cherry smartphone, and the last image in the gallery is a sample image taken by this device. At first, it seems like the sample has been taken with a 7-megapixel camera, but it’s most probably cropped. This handset will most likely feature a 13-megapixel camera sensor on the back, and the EXIF info says that the camera sports f/2.0 aperture and 1/3.2″ sensor.
There you have it, it seems like Huawei has a couple of devices up their sleeve to showcase in the near future. Huawei P8 will launch on April 15th, the Huawei P8 Lite has also leaked quite recently, and now we have this Honor Cherry mid-ranger.
