Stuffcard thinks that struggle is so 2014. This iOS app specializes in collecting information about everyday appliances around your home so you don’t have to desperately seek out tech arcana and lost manuals to find your answers.
The Stuffcard name comes from the ability to create cards for each of your products. The idea is to bring up the app and log in all its information the moment you buy it. There are sections in each card to name the value, snap photos, record the merchants, upload docs and warranties, and tag the product with specific notes or labels as needed. The app also includes a bar code scanner that can automatically look up a product and autofill as much information as possible so you don’t have to do all the work.
If it all sounds like a bit much, Stuffcard also offers help tips on what to look for and where. There are several possibilities for such an app in addition to looking up replacement parts and warranties – tax season has us all thinking about deductibles and item values. This is doubly true of businesses, which have an even greater reason to track products and their original values or uses when the time comes to tabulate assets.
