With the new Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, Samsung has announced a new Gear VR headset. The Gear VR Innovator Edition has been altered to be compatible with the company’s two new handsets. The overall size has been reduced by 15% and it includes new head straps providing for more comfortable use.
This version of the Gear VR has mechanical ventilation to prevent overheating and push usage time. Also, to extend usage time, Samsung added the option to power the virtual reality headset with its USB port. The extra horsepower of the Galaxy S 6 and Galaxy S 6 Edge should allow for better graphical performance, too.
