OnePlus is slowly, but surely expanding the company’s reach. This Chinese smartphone manufacturer has announced increased availability of their OnePlus One handset quite recently, and has also launched their power bank accessory in the U.S. yesterday. OnePlus’ power bank was initially announced back in December in China, and the company is now offering that accessory to the consumers in the States. That very same power bank was listed as “coming soon” on European and Indian OnePlus website, and it still is. The company didn’t give out an additional information regarding its availability in those regions, until thus far at least.
This Chinese company tweeted out the following info recently: “Our fans in EU and India will be able to order Power Banks later in April. Stay tuned for more info!” They did not reveal the exact launch date for the accessory, but we did get a timeframe at the very least. OnePlus will launch the power bank in Europe and India next month, for those of you who have been wondering. This power bank has a 10,000mAh lithium-polymer battery on the inside. Its input power is 5V/2A and in order to fully charge it, you’ll have to keep it plugged in for about 5.5 hours according to the company. You get 2 USB ports here, so that you can charge multiple devices if you’d like. The power bank includes a number of safety features in order to avoid overcharging and overheating, and it also has a number of LEDs on the side which will reveal the battery status at every given time, as long as you gently tap on the power bank. OnePlus power bank measures 142.8 x 72.6 x 16.2mm and weighs 220g.
There you have it. The OnePlus power bank is priced at $14.99 in the U.S., and has a similar price in China, so you can expect it to cost around Rs. 940 in India and €14 in Europe. We’re guessing here, of course, but it makes sense. Anyhow, everything will be revealed next month, so stay tuned for that, we’ll report back as soon as we get ahold of some additional information.
