“Movies” app rebranded to “Video” in latest update (9.0.A.0.20)

Sony has updated the “Movies” app with build number 9.0.A.0.20 and in the process rebranded the app to “Video”. Other new features include a more simplified drawer with ‘Camera’ and ‘TV’ now nestled under ‘Folders’ for direct access to your own videos.

The layout within ‘Folders’ has been improved and there is also more detail in the options menu including sequential playback, delete video, video info and more. The main view has also been enhanced with easy access to recently added videos. The 11.5MB update is currently rolling out to those on Lollipop through the What’s New app.
