MetroPCS launching promotional unlimited plan with 1 GB of high-speed data for $30 per month

MetroPCS has announced a new promotional unlimited plan for customers that starts at just $30 per month. The plan features unlimited talk, text, and data, but like always, there’s a catch.

The data is unlimited, but the high-speed cap is at a pretty low 1 GB. After that’s used up, you’ll be throttled. Pretty common practice with cheaper and prepaid carriers, so it’s not like MetroPCS is breaking the mold, but it would’ve been nice to see the cap a little higher. For $30, though, it might just be worth it.
