LeTV is one of many Chinese smartphone manufacturers that you might have heard of. This is not exactly the first China-based company that you think of when you hear the word “smartphone”, that’s for sure. Truth be told, LeTV is also in the video streaming business and manufacturing smartphones was never their first priority. The company is, however, pushing really hard in the smartphone front as of late. One of their devices was certified by TENAA earlier this month, and showed really decent specifications. We’re talking about the LeTV X600 handset here.
Two new images leaked, showing off this device. We’re talking about actual photos here, not renders or anything like that. This handset will sport very thin bezels on the sides, as you can see in the image down below. The design of this handset actually reminds me of Huawei’s Ascend Mate 7 handset which launched last year, at least from its front side. This seems to be a polycarbonate version of the device, though LeTV will launch several different models, more on that later. The back of the device reveals a 13-megapixel camera and an LED flash below it. Anyhow, let’s check out this handset’s specs, shall we.
According to the TENAA listing, this handset will feature a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. MediaTek’s MT6795 SoC clocked at 2.2GHz will power on this handset, and the handset will measure 147.8mm in length and 74.2mm in width. 13-megapixel camera will be this handset’s main shooter, and a 5-megapixel snapper will be available up front. The LeTV X600 will weight 160 grams and the company will launch it in three different variants. The polycarbonate (plastic) version will cost $160, the metal version will be priced at $319, and the top of the line model will set you back $480. This handset will be available in White, Gray and Gold color options once the company makes it available.
As you can see, we already have a lot of details regarding the LeTV’s upcoming handset, but we still don’t know when the company plans to launch this thing. That should happen soon though considering the device was already certified and everything. We’ll see what happens, in the meantime, let us know whether you like this handset’s design.
