Huawei has already confirmed that the Ascend P7 successor will arrive next month, and one of the company’s executives has even revealed the launch date. The Huawei P8 will launch on April 15th in London, and we’ve been seeing a lot of rumors / leaks about this device. That’s not all though, this China-based company has been intensively teasing the device over the past week or so. Huawei has teased a great battery, better camera, better display… we’ve seen quite a few teasers thus far, and the company will probably release more of them as the launch date is getting closer.
Almost every spec rumor that came our way in the past said that a 13-megapixel camera will be this device’s main shooter, and this new leak only confirms that. An alleged Huawei P8 camera sample leaked in China and confirmed the 13-megapixel camera on Huawei’s upcoming device. The picture has a resolution of 4160 x 3120, and the image looks really good actually. As you can see, this is a low-light shot, and taking that into consideration, the camera did a really good job. The noise in the image is minimal, and the camera did a really good job handling the reflection of the light in the image. It is still unknown whether Huawei will opt for a single or a dual camera setup on this device (similar to the one on the Honor 6 Plus).
The Huawei P8 is rumored to feature a 5.2-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Huawei’s proprietary Kirin 930 64-bit octa-core processor is expected to power on this device and Android 5.0 Lollipop will allegedly come pre-installed on this device with Huawei’s Emotion UI on top of Google’s operating system. According to rumors, the device will sport metal and glass as far as build materials go, so you can expect this to be a premium built device. Fingerprint scanner has also been mentioned a couple of times thus far, though it remains to be seen how true those rumors are. This handset will most probably cost around 3,000 Yuan ($480). Anyhow, the device will launch next month (probably April 15), but we’ll see more rumors / teasers before it launches, so stay tuned.
