Paying with VISA when you shop online is about to get a whole lot easier for some as VISA has announced this morning that their online quick payment system called VISA Checkout, is being rolled out to a total of 6 additional markets across the globe by the end of 2015. Over the course of the year VISA will be introducing their online checkout system in different markets, making it easier and faster to pay for the things we shop for online. If you’re unfamiliar with VISA Checkout, think of it like PayPal, Google Wallet, or Amazon’s 1-Click Buy button in the sense that it allows you to quickly and easily pay for things when you’re ready to checkout.
VISA Checkout will allow people to store their credit card and shipping information inside of the secure VISA Checkout account, and when they’re ready to pay for items online on their computer, smartphone or tablet, checking out is as simple as hitting the VISA Checkout button and logging in to their account. With VISA Checkout you only have to enter your information once, so using it as a payment option only takes a couple of steps whenever available. Just log in, and hit the buy button.
Not only is it more secure because you don’t have to continually enter your information every time you make a purchase online, but it’s much faster than re-entering in your payment and shipping information every time too. As of right now VISA Checkout is available in the U.S., Canada, and Australia where it first launched last year in July of 2014, and it’s also available in Argentina, Chile, China, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, and South Africa. Over the course of the year, VISA will be rolling the service out to Brazil, Colombia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, and the Unite Arab Emirates. With VISA Checkout, consumers will have one more easy way to pay for items online safely and quickly with payments coming directly from their credit card information.
