Samsung All But Confirms Wireless Charging For Their Upcoming Flagship

Samsung will launch their new flagship handset at the company’s pre-MWC Unpacked press event, and we’ve seen a lot of teasers posted by the company lately. That’s not all though, a ton of leaks and rumors came our way and managed to create lots of confusion considering the amount of conflicting details. As we’re getting closer to the launch, the legit information is surfacing. Earlier today, the accessory maker Spigen has listed a bunch of Galaxy S6 cases on their official website, and now we get some extra information about the device directly from Samsung.

This Korea-based company has released a couple of teasers in the last couple of days, and some of them were teasing wireless charging, at least that’s what we managed to conclude based on those teasers. That said, the company has just all but confirmed that the Galaxy S6 will offer wireless charging via their official webpage in Netherlands. If you follow the source link down below, you’ll see an article which gives you three reasons to use wireless charging, along with the already released official teasers. This is more than enough of a confirmation that the device will, in fact, sport wireless charging out of the box, which makes all the sense in the world, especially if the device ends up sporting the unibody metal design which was rumored for a long time now.

Samsung Galaxy S6 is rumored to sport a 5 / 5.1-inch quadHD display along with 4GB of RAM and multiple storage options (the lowest one will probably be 32GB). Samsung’s very own Exynos 7420 64-bit octa-core processor will most likely power on this device, this is a 14nm processor and will handle power consumption a lot better than its 20nm counterparts according to the available information, 30-35% better in fact. 2,600mAh battery is said to be included in this device, and has already leaked yesterday. This battery wouldn’t make all that much sense in a flagship usually, but taking into consideration this power-efficient processor, it might happen. Android Lollipop will come pre-installed on this handset with Samsung’s skin on top of the newest version of Google’s OS.
