Folding@Home app now supports non-Sony devices

Sony has updated the Folding@Home application to bring Android 5.0 Lollipop support, but more importantly the app will now work on non Sony smartphones. The Folding@Home app is probably one of the most important that Sony has released, giving users the chance to help find a cure for diseases.

The app utilises the processing power and Wi-Fi connection of your smartphone during off-peak hours (the default is between midnight and 6am) to help find cures for a number of diseases. We have been using the app since it launched and it is great to see that hopefully now many more people can contribute. Head over to the Play Store if you are still yet to download the app.
