A New App On Android Called Reserve Aims To Bring Users An Elevated Dining Experience

Take note Android touting romantics, Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and if you’re planning on taking your special someone out on the town for the evening you’re going to want to have things planned out. You may want to start by reserving a table somewhere special, whether it be the first place you had a date, somewhere you met, or just a nice restaurant that has a romantic atmosphere you’d both like to try. Fear not, as reserving a table can be simple and quick these days with a few taps thanks to the wonders of applications. A new app to Android called Reserve(see what they did there?)has launched on the Play Store just in time for you to potentially still make a reservation some place if you haven’t already done so.

The user experience isn’t too unlike that of Open Table really, you start by setting the dates of when you want to dine out, then you’ll be able to select the place you want to make a reservation. After this point you’ll be notified about any updates regarding your reservation request, and when everything is all said and done and you’re finished with the meal, Reserve will even take care of your payments for you, something that Open Table doesn’t handle. It does this by having your payment card on file within the app similar to the way you have it set up with other apps that take payments for stuff, like the Play Store for example when you purchase something.

The app makes a strong point to emphasize that user feedback is greatly appreciated and helps to improve the user experience for others, as well as helping the restaurant improve on their service in any areas that need it. The app seems pretty well rounded, albeit with a couple of caveats. It is only available in a few select cities at the moment with plans for future expansion, but right now it only supports San Francisco, Boston, L.A., and New York. There is also a small concierge fee($5)that is added to your restaurant bill which some may not care for. If you live in a supported area and are fine with the concierge fee, give Reserve a try.
