Xiaomi has successfully established themselves in the lower price range market with their Redmi brand. Now Xiaomi is prepared to announce its new generation Redmi smartphone on January 4th.
This Redmi 2 will likely to be equipped with a 5 inch display which we are looking forward to see an upgraded into Full HD screen instead of the 720p display as seen on it's predecessor. We will also be expecting it to comes with dual SIM slot with LTE support.
Based on sources we acquired, the Redmi 2 handset will sports a 64-bit Quad Core processor which rumored to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410,it mated with 1 GB of RAM, 8GB of ROM. Similarly to Redmi, we will be having a 8 megapixel rear camera with a better lens and a 2 megapixel front snapper.
Based on the teaser image, this new Redmi will coming in a few colour variants: yellow, green, and pink.
We have yet to discover the retail the price for the time being, however with the Redmi brand stamp on the device, the price will be competitive and affordable undoubtedly.
