Meizu has announced a bunch of new hardware at their event in Beijing recently. Meizu’s newest M1 handset definitely stole the spotlight at that event, but the company has also announced a couple of ‘Home Automation’ devices as part of their LifeKit platform. This China-based company has also re-announced their partnership with Haier and a couple of Haier-branded products, as well as a new, China-only, M1 Note handset. This device is basically the same as the version that was announced in December last year, but it is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615 SoC, instead of the MediaTek MT6752. Meizu M1 and M1 Note look basically the same on the outside, except for their size, Meizu M1 sports a 5-inch display, while the M1 Note features a 5.5-inch panel.

That being said, first side-by-side comparison images surfaced in China. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll find a bunch of Meizu M1 vs Meizu M1 Note comparison images. Both of these handsets are made out of plastic, as you can see in the images, and these models in particular are white-colored. I’m sure that this will help some of you decide which size fits you better in case you can’t try out both, or at least check out their looks side-by-side, again, if you can’t do that in person, and I’m sure most of you can’t.

There are significant differences between these two devices in term of specs though, the Meizu M1 features a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 768) display, while the M1 Note sports a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) panel. Meizu M1 ships with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable internal storage, while the M1 Note comes with 2GB of RAM and either 16 or 32GB of non-expandable in-built storage. They are powered by different chips as well, the smaller M1 device is powered by MediaTek’s MT6732 quad-core chip clocked at 1.5GHz, while the bigger M1 devices comes with either the MediaTek MT6752 octa-core SoC running at 1.7GHz or the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor (China-only). Camera sensors are the same, but the M1 Note sports dual-LED, dual-tone flash, while its smaller brother ships with a single LED flash.
