LG G Flex 2 Pre-Orders Starting at Carphone Warehouse on Feb. 28th

AH LG G Flex 2-8

LG announced the G Flex 2 at CES earlier this month. It easily stole the show in terms of smartphones, because well it was one of the only ones actually announced there. ASUS did announce the Zenfone 2 though. The LG G Flex 2 is actually smaller than the original, which is rather surprising. It’s the same size as the LG G3. It’s a 5.5-inch 1080p POLED display, along with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 (which LG says is not overheating, even though Samsung seems to think it is), 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. There’s also a slight curve, even more of one than last year’s model. The self healing back also made a return and heals in about 10 seconds instead of 10 minutes. Which is pretty awesome. LG also revamped the back buttons this time around, and it looks even better.

So what about availability? As is common with smartphone makers not named Apple, LG was quiet on when it’ll be available for us to buy. We do know that it’s coming to AT&T and Sprint here in the US, but not so sure about the rest of the world. Today, Carphone Warehouse announced that it will be beginning LG G Flex 2 pre-orders on February 28th. That’s almost two months after LG announced it. It will go on sale on March 19th, which is just over 2 months from the announcement date. And I think a lot of the hype from the LG G Flex 2 will be gone by then, especially with Mobile World Congress being March 2nd-5th.

Carphone Warehouse has not released any data on pricing, but expect it to be about the same price as your average smartphone, like the LG G3, Samsung Galaxy S5, HTC One M8, etc. As soon as we learn the pricing, we’ll be sure to share it with you though.
