HTC has a large user base in Taiwan where its products are sold the most. However, the company’s online presence has been rather iffy. But a new report suggests that the company is looking to change that with its two new midrange devices – the Desire 816G and the 512G.
The company will reportedly take a cue from Xiaomi’s books and have a 24 hour online store which will sell these two devices. This online store will go live on the 4th of February in the region and will probably be limited to Taiwan for the time being.
This being said, the company will still rely on its carrier partners and other third party retailers to sell its devices in the country. It is expected that HTC’s online sales in Taiwan will only come close to 10% of the total revenues made, so third party sellers and carriers still have a big part to play in HTC’s financial plans.
