Few of us genuinely need a drone. Aside from a few industries, scientific research, and spying, most of us just want a drone to fly around and have a little fun with, possibly terrorize the cat. Fortunately, for those of us who just want a small flying toy to play with, not a Phantom built for actually professional work, there’s now a quadcopter of our very own.
Little Copter, Big Air
Truthfully, the tiny little quadcopter Morrison Innovations is calling the Nano Drone is probably more a cat toy than anything else… but it’s undeniably an impressive little piece of engineering. The tiny little guy can fit comfortably in the palm of your hand, but flies for seven minutes on a single charge and can even do flips and other tricks. It even packs a six-axis gyroscope into its little frame, so that it stays stable and is easy to control.
Drone Away
Most of us want a flying machine, but the truth is that we don’t want the work that goes with it. The Nano Drone is a good compromise, and not just because you can get it in a variety of colors. It’s a real quadcopter and a good way to understand the basics of quadcopters, but it’s small enough to be used indoors and simple enough to be a lot of fun even for pilots who will never do more than fly this little guy.
Also, again, it’s pretty much perfect for teasing cats. See how high you can get them to jump!
