It’s open-comment Friday and Net Neutrality November!

Ah, Friday at last! We’re rolling into the weekend with your thoughts on anything having to do with personal technology.

You know how this works: Leave a comment on the topic, and I’ll approve it.

Others see what you said, and respond.

You come back later, see what they said, and respond.

If you’re wondering what you should talk about, consider this:

One of the biggest news stories of the week was President Obama’s urging that the Federal Communications Commission pass stringent Net Neutrality regulations , bringing joy to the hearts of Internet activists and a great gnashing of teeth from laissez-faire politicians and major Internet service providers.

Among those opposed was U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, who likened Net Neutrality to “Obamacare for the Internet” .

And that inspired one of the clearest – and most entertaining – explainer on just what Net Neutrality is. Matthew Inman, a wildly popular Internet cartoonist who draws under the name The Oatmeal created a hilarious infographic that sets out to educate the junior senator from Texas on the issue. Regardless of what you think of Cruz or his characterization, it’s worth your time to read.

Leave your thoughts on The Oatmeal’s cartoon – or anything else tech-related – in the comments below.
