The iPad Mini 3 has received its grand unveiling this morning and everyone is celebrating the tablet’s arrival. Some would say this is the best tablet of its kind, but we all know the iPad Mini 3 is not exactly for everyone.

Some of us are not big fans of iOS, and there’s a plethora of devices out there that can match the iPad Mini 3’s specs, performance and functionality. Let’s go over some of our favorite ones!

Dell Venue 8 7000

The Dell Venue 8 7000 has it all – it’s amazingly thin at 6 mm, it has an 8.4-inch super high-definition 2560x1600p display, and it’s a very capable device. In fact, I consider this my very favorite tablet to date.

Those who care about build quality, which iPads are known for, you need not worry with the Dell Venue 8 7000. This tablet feels very solid and it’s made out of a metal.

Other specs include a powerful 2.3 GHz Intel Atom Z3500 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage and 8MP/2MP cameras.

Sadly, this device is not yet available as of the time of this post’s publishing, but we will make sure to come back and update with a link once it launches!

Dell Venue 8 7000

ASUS MeMO Pad 8

Those who want something a bit more affordable can take a look at the ASUS MeMO Pad 8. There are multiple versions of this device. The closest competitors would probably be the ME581CL and ME572C, with much better specs and higher-definition displays.

There’s another ASUS MeMO Pad 8 tablet that you can have right now, and it is amazingly affordable. It has an 8-inch 1920x1200p display. a 2.3 GHz quad-core Intel Atom Moorefield processor and 2 GB of RAM.

It’s a great tablet, and it is only priced at around $150! Definitely cheaper than an iPad Mini 3.

Acer Iconia Tab 8

Are you looking for a tablet with a great media consumption experience? Let us introduce you to the Acer Iconia Tab 8. Its screen measures in at 8 inches and features a 1920x1200p resolution.

That’s not quite Retina Display resolution, but there is more too quality displays than pixel counts. This panel is gorgeous, colors are vibrant and look amazingly real. So much that the first time we saw the device it was turned on… we thought the image was a sticker.

And it is no weakling either. Specs include a quad-core Intel Atom processor, 2 GB of RAM and Android 4.4 KitKat. It’s not a bad tablet at all, and it only costs $199!

Nexus 9

Of course, we can’t leave Google’s new 9-inch tablet behind. The Nexus 9 is made by HTC and it is a great alternative for the iPad Mini 3. This one is priced quite similarly to Apple’s tablet at $399. It sports a 9-inch display with a stunning resolution of 2048x1536p.

Specs include a capable NVIDIA K1 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 16-32 GB of internal storage, a 6700 mAh battery and there is even an LTE version.

The Nexus 9 is also not available yet, but be sure we will update this page as soon as it is. We are expecting a November 3rd launch, so stay tuned!

LG G Pad 8.3

The LG G Pad 8.3 is an amazing tablet. Though it has been out for a while, it continues to be one of the best tablets of its size. Its display is gorgeous, measuring 8.3 inches (of course) with a 1920x1200p resolution.

The device is also very well built and looks stunning. Specs also include a 1.7 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, 2 GB of RAM, a 4600 mAh battery and 5 MP/1.3MP cameras. All for about $250.
