Top Android Homescreen October 10th Edition: Google Color

Google Color

It’s heading into the middle of October and that means the spookiest day of the year draws ever near. That also means that we’re getting closer and closer to a couple of Google devices getting a release date. So why not celebrate with a Google colored theme for your next homescreen setup? In fact, that is actually the name of this week’s homescreen pick. As always we get our homescreen picks from mycolorscreen.com, and this week we grabbed one that grabbed our attention called Google Color. You’ll need a couple of different apps to make this work, nothing new there, and we’ll walk you through what apps you need and the basic steps to set it up. We’ll also direct you to where you can get the download files, so let’s get into it.

Google colors are iconic with anyone in the tech world or anyone that knows Google products. This homescreen displays that well by using those colors as accents throughout the style. To start things off let’s go over what apps you need. You’ll want to make sure that you have a third party homescreen launcher installed, specifically either Apex Pro or Nova Prime, and Nova Prime is the one mentioned by the creator of this homescreen, David Pitoko. Next you’re also going to need Zooper Pro, which is the app that you’ll use to apply the widget files. Lastly you’ll also need Media Utilities. You can find all of those in the Play Store. You can find the page for this homescreen at the source link below, where the creator has listed the link to his post with the download files. Once you have those three apps installed, and the files downloaded, make sure your homescreen grid size is 6 x 6, set your homescreen to two separate homescreens, and that’s pretty much it. After that just apply one widgets on each homescreen using Zooper and you’re done. If you like this homescreen style be sure to show David some appreciation and “zoom” his image on mycolorscreen and hit the Love button. Have a great weekend and happy theming!
