When you think of word games, you generally don’ think of a game that will test your skills at solving for words with a heart pounding countdown and awesome, atmospheric music in the background. When you take a look at LEX though, that is exactly what you’re getting. LEX is a word game that gives you a breath taking soundtrack to play to, and tasks you with finding words in a set of jumbled up letters all within a certain amount of time. Solve for words before the time runs out, while also attempting to reach the next level where finding words will grant you even more points than the level before it to ultimately raise your score as high as you can.
If it weren’t enough that LEX is already making you sweat while you try to grab the next word, when ever you select a letter out of the list you get a unique kaleidoscope image that plays to your visual senses, which actually meshes really well with the music. Not only does the imagery react to your letter choices, but the music is somewhat conducted by your selections as well. It’s great for teaching your kids how to spell or just training your brain and your own vocabulary, and as it gets easier for you, you can ramp up the intensity with the pro submitting setting which requires you to solve for words in shorter spans of time.
LEX costs only $0.99 which should easily put in on the radar of any word game lover. LEX also supports leaderboards and achievements through Google Play Games services, which will like all games that are integrated with GPG attribute to your overall level gain inside the Google Play Games app. What’s really cool, is that LEX seems to take catering to parents pretty seriously as well, and has included an expletive filter so that kids don’t come across nasty words, they also make a point to mention that they have no IAP whatsoever, which is something that’s always nice to see. If you like word games, we highly recommend to check out LEX and see if it suits your taste.
