Google’s day was full of excitement for Android and tech fans all over the world. This Mountain View giant announced a couple of new hardware products along with the new version of their Android operating system, Android 5.0 Lollipop, which has been long-awaited. The company has announced Nexus 6 phablet and Nexus 9 tablet along with the Nexus Player, we’re here to talk about the Motorola Nexus 6. Many carriers have announced that they’ll carry this phablet and Google said that it will be available for pre-order starting October 28th. Now we have confirmation that the device will be coming to 28 countries starting 2014-end, Motorola announced it. The device will rollout across Europe, Asia-Pacific, North America and will come to India as well. These are some great news if you just can’t wait to get Google’s newest smartphone which turns out to be rather huge, on the surprise of many, despite all those rumors pointing to that fact. Anyhow, let’s talk a bit about the device itself.
Google Nexus 6 is manufactured by Motorola and modeled after the Motorola’s current Moto X (2014) flagship. It is quite easy to notice that this Nexus is Moto X-inspired even on the front, but it becomes even too obvious when you flip it around. That’s not a bad thing in my humble opinion though, Moto X is a really well-designed device. Nexus 6 is a lot larger than Motorola’s flagship though, it measures 159.3 x 83 x 10.1mm compared to Moto X’s 140.8 x 72.4 x 10mm, though that is to be expected considering that huge 5.9-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display this device features. Nexus 6 also comes with 3GB of RAM for all your multitasking needs and 32 or 64GB of internal storage, depending on which model you get. On the back of this beast, you’ll find a 13-megapixel shooter flanked by a dual-LED flash while there’s a 2-megapixel shooter up front. This thing is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor clocked at 2.7GHz which comes with an Adreno 420 GPU, this chip will basically make sure you get top-notch performance out of this thing. The device also ships with Google’s latest Android 5.0 Lollipop offering, of course. Do you plan on getting one of these?
